A Concept Ganked From SL The Epic

I've decided to start blogging about good things only. A dear friend of mine has been for the past few months, and it really hit me today just how much I complain. Not when things are going well, but once things start going badly, everything becomes a problem. It isn't healthy, mature, or useful.

So every day, I'm going to post things for which I'm thankful.

1) I'm thankful for my family. They kick ass. I can't go into how much they do right now, but I love them all very much, and I know they love me. Even though I'm the bad son. (My words, not theirs! XD)

2) I'm thankful for my best friend. Lord Kramer, his own bad self. I'd met him a couple of times at this Christian teen hangout that used to exist in Elkmont where Aardvark is now located. I would go and socialize, but it was too loud and crowded for me. We also both worked in the same company, and I was being considered for a transfer over to the store where he worked. He was being considered for a promotion to that same position. He'd known my dad and other peeps in my family longer than he'd known me, as they frequented said store, so we'd both heard about each other, but I think, in old Everquest terms, we conned dubious towards each other. And now he has the dubious distinction of being my best friend.

Now, I'm fuzzy on how exactly we ended up hanging out so much, because we didn't talk for a while after I wasn't transferred. I do remember it involved my going with him to Huntsville to look at a truck. I think I just wanted to get out of the apartment for a while (pretty sure I'd moved out by that point), and since I didn't have anything better to do, I agreed to drive him over there or meet him there, something like that. (Yes, America, I am an ass.) The seller was running extremely late, so we sat in this apartment complex parking lot for an hour or so smoking and hanging out and talking about random stuff, a pattern which hasn't really changed since.

3) I'm thankful for my car, the Ianmobile Mk. V. I love my CRX. Now, it's no secret that I've never really liked the blue glitter paint job the previous owner bestowed upon her, but I don't have the heart to change it to Half-Life colours as I originally intended--it just doesn't feel right. The car must be blue and glittery, and it's not mine to question why. Anyhow, it's fun to drive, extremely easy on the gas, and no big deal to fix.
