Today, I'm thankful for smoking. Yes, smoking. Because I'm quitting. I found a few more smokes, but when they're gone, they're gone. Cloves have been constant comrades since I turned, say, 20. I'm almost out, and due to this, I'm almost out. I enjoy the occasional Camel, but they get nasty fast. I like the way they taste, not so much the smell. Anyhow...
Quitting smoking. I was going to do it my birthday, but postponed. I believe the statement that smoking is best "left to people aged 18-25 then 60 and over. Quit at 25, resume at 60."
So this time it'll stick, because everyone else is quitting at the same time. I'll still burn the occasional cigar or pipe, but smoking will once more be an occasional hobby, not a habit. No more cloves, no more camels.
I'm thankful that I'm starting to think again. I've missed it.
I'm also thankful for aspirin. I've got a killer headache, so aspirin, coffee, bed.
