Today, I'm thankful for money! Now I can (finally) insulate this house, take care of one of my creditors, and maybe buy myself a new book or something else of use.
I'm also thankful for good music, even when it's depressing. Not all of it's been, but there was one song that I listened to today that hit me harder than the Mozambique technique with a 1911. But I've also got Dad's copy of the Star Trek II soundtrack (best Trek movie, best soundtrack, bar none.) This is the remastered version of the soundtrack, which means it is actually complete (never before released. Ever.) and even includes Amazing Grace from the funeral sequence--the best bagpipe Amazing Grace ever performed, by the by. Makes me smile.
I'm thankful for my dad. I've not been the best son; in fact, I've been kind of a pain in the ass, but I love my dad. He's always been there, even when we've had our skirmishes, and he's always loved me, which I know I haven't been thankful for nearly enough.
